It is the author's hope that the Looking Back books will bring back some nostalgic memories for longtime residents and provide some historical insight for younger people and newcomers to the area. The Keowee Courier was founded in 1849. Sadly, it was recently closed down, with the final issue coming out on March 27, 2019.
