A play for two actors, adapted from the story by Oscar Wilde. A gripping tale of love, honour, duty, fortune-telling and murder. Lord Arthur takes his marriage vows very seriously, but when he has his fortune told just weeks before the wedding, his destiny simply cannot be ignored. Join Lord Arthur and his trusty valet, Middlewick, in a wicked black comedy that positively fizzes with fun. The play runs at about 90 minutes without an interval, but can also be performed as a shortened 60 minute version. "Martin Harris's script has wisely kept many of Wilde's unforgettable lines... The result is a hilariously funny black comedy." - What's On Stage "This adaptation is told in a brilliantly imaginative fashion... and uses the play's source material brilliantly, in order to create a magnificent piece of theatre." - The Public Reviews "An inventive and entertaining piece of theatre containing some of Wilde's wittiest lines." - Express and Star "This stage version of the short story reminds us that even his minor works are touched by genius." - Metro Herald
