Love Letters to Myself was created out of my own personal practice of writing a love letter to myself almost daily for 4 years, inspired by my life coach at the time. It changed my life. It was the catalyst for rewriting my life. I had been sucked under in almost debilitating depression and anxiety, chronic illness, severe financial debt, and a dying marriage as a young stay-at-home, homeschooling mom of four, for years. I felt so lost, stuck, trapped, lonely, sad, frustrated, angry, and dying, suicidal at times. Writing to myself in this way on a daily basis, along with some other practices I committed to, saved my life and created a new relationship with myself and everyone and everything around me. I am now in a new, healthy, loving relationship and we are getting married very soon. We have an amazing family! Six kiddos and their significant others, and our first grandchild. I am now free of debt, save for our mortgage. I am physically healthier than I've been, maybe ever, in my life. Depression and anxiety are now things I experience occasionally; not places I live or a way I describe myself. I can genuinely say, I love myself and my life. I feel alive, safe, genuinely happy, interested excited, curious, in love, in awe. I feel FREE. It isn't all rainbows and sunshine, and when it isn't, I dance with it in the best way I am able at the time. A lot of the time, that still looks messy...and...I show up for myself every time and get me back on my feet and feeling better again.

It is my sincere hope that this book and practice serve you in much the same way. I hope you fall in love with yourself within these pages and this practice. Over and over again. It will not always be easy. Some times, this will be down right HARD...and this is where the transformation happens. This is where you get the chance to get real and show up for yourself. This.
