Joyce learned to crochet around the age of 14 from her maternal grandmother and an aunt. She started out making afghans but discovered crocheting with threads and loved making doilies and things using thread crochet. She and her husband Rick have a grain farm and small trucking company. Joyce's early designs were patterns depicting a farm theme to go with a farm décor since there were very few out there to choose from. She has had many crochet patterns published in various crochet magazines over the last several years and was fortunate enough to have a book published, Filet Table Runners, by the Leisure Arts company a few years ago. Her designs can be seen on Ravelry.com. Joyce and Rick enjoy spending time with their daughter Barb and grand children Addie and Charlie. The days are busy but there is always time for crochet!!
