Love On Broken Grounds (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781919400808)

For the fans of My Life with the Walter Boys and Anne of Green Gables-A tender romance set in the wild beauty of the countryside where love takes time and problems are better shared.

Bessie Ashford lost her stability at a young age, her perfect life and parents were ripped away from her by World War One. At seventeen, she has just enough to keep herself going with life on her Grandparents' farm-enough to keep moving forward at least.

But then Thomas Lockwood is hired at Willowcroft Farm as the summer farmhand, he's far too handsome, with that infuriating smirk and quiet confidence.

Her blossom tree, her place of refuge, and her carefully built walls all rock in his presence. When frustration turns into something that Bessie never expected. Her feelings become entwined with the boy who makes her cheeks burn, her heart lighter and her grief a little brighter.

But with autumn approaching, their looming expiration date seems to be the only thing standing in their way.

Yet, Willowcroft Farm has other ideas, when the world throws more despair and hurdles in their way, Bessie must decide which way to go.

To lean back into the memory of her mother's words, or move forward with the fragile hope of love and risk her heart along the way.
