Andrés Neuman was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was selected as one of Granta's Best of Young Spanish-Language Novelists and was included on the Bogotá-39 list. He is the author of numerous novels, short stories, poems, and non-fiction books, including Traveler of the Century (FSG), which won the Alfaguara Prize and the National Critics Prize, and The Things We Don't Do (Open Letter Books), which received the Firecracker Award for Fiction. His poetry was awarded the Federico Garc僘 Lorca and Hiperi Prizes, among others. His works have been translated into twenty-five languages.

Robin Myers is a Mexico City-based poet and Spanish-to-English translator. Deep Vellum published her translation of The Book of Explanations by Tedi López Mills in 2022. Other recent translations include Bariloche by Andr駸 Neuman (Open Letter Books, 2023). As a poet, Robin's work was selected for the 2022 Best American Poetry anthology. Her collections have been published as bilingual English-Spanish editions in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Spain.
