Lucky Me: My Story of Survival, Shame, and Strength (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781544553573)

It's never too late to start the next chapter.

After more than fifty tumultuous years of marriage, Dagmar Margot had hit rock bottom. She was facing divorce, unmade by betrayal and rattled by a shame she couldn't explain.

Then Dagmar saw the poster. It was a small girl reaching for a heart-shaped balloon. She was fragile. Untethered. Courageous. She was Dagmar, and Dagmar saw her as a beacon for finding herself and reclaiming her voice.

In Lucky Me, Dagmar shares her story of beginning again, learning to trust, and putting chosen pieces of her life back together. This raw, unflinching memoir recounts days of silence and doubt and reveals the mercies that mended her: her daughter's unwavering presence and the laughter of her grandsons. More than a story of redemption, Lucky Me is a testament of survival, resilience, and the quiet courage required to walk away and rebuild, stronger than ever.
