Malahit DSP2 Masterclass: Advanced DSP Techniques, Digital Mode Decoding, and Signals Intelligence for Ham Radio Operators, Shortwave DXers, and Emerg (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798196104244)

Malahit DSP2 Masterclass: The Definitive Advanced Operations Manual

Most owners hit the same wall: capable hardware, powerful firmware, but documentation that tells you which buttons to press-not what those buttons actually do to the signal, why one setting destroys weak-signal copy while another pulls stations from nothingness, or how to transform this pocket receiver into a legitimate signals intelligence platform.
This book closes that gap.
Inside: the DSP theory that matters in practice-Si5351A clocking, R820T2 front end, STM32H7 processor boundaries, and how to optimize each for your conditions. Master adaptive noise reduction: when aggressive LMS filtering helps and when it mutilates the signal. Understand noise blankers vs. noise reduction, how to combine them, and why most operators misuse both.
Digital modes (firmware v2.40+): direct RTTY, FT8, and CW decoding inside the receiver-no laptop, no cables. Full setup, troubleshooting, and external logging integration. For modes beyond built-in decoders, the IQ output chapter covers HDSDR, SDR#, and GNU Radio integration for professional-grade analysis of DMR, D-STAR, PSK31, and virtually any signal.
Broadcast intelligence: exploit RDS decoding to map transmitter networks, identify spoofed signals, detect pirate operations, and extract emergency data casual listeners never see.
Interference mitigation: identify and classify broadband noise, switching supply hash, and harmonic distortion by their spectrum signatures. Implement attenuation, preamp bypass, and dynamic range optimization to restore usability in electrically hostile environments.
Emergency ops: pre-programming strategies, go-kit configurations, and spectrum surveying protocols for rapid deployment in infrastructure-denied environments.
From hardware fundamentals through DSP mastery, digital modes, intelligence applications, and field deployment-written for operators who want to understand why things work, not merely what to click.
The Malahit DSP2 is serious SDR that fits in your pocket. Pocket-sized hardware without pocket-sized expertise leaves most of its capability dormant.

Unlock it. Master it. Deploy it.
