I hope these poems will strike a chord with anyone who loves the distinctive landscapes and mythologies of Yorkshire, and the areas around Malham.

Half of them, and the short story, were originally written in 1986 and 1987 for use with Year 5 pupils (9-10 yrs) during themed outdoor educational visits.

Every poem in this collection is a reflection of the love I developed for Yorkshire landscapes, its people, and Malham in particular.

That love has not diminished since I left the area in 2016 after having lived in Gargrave at the start of a road that leads to the heart of this wonderful village, and the landscapes and mysteries that surround it.
