I have often heard managers complaining about the challenge of managing millennials, a generation often perceived as grossly independent and stubborn. If you search "managing millennials," you'll find several tips for handling this "difficult breed" of employees. However, managers need to understand millennials really want to accomplish great things and can be harnessed to contribute to the organizations in the rapidly changing environment. As demographic trends continue to change, millennials are increasingly dominating the workforce. However, majority of the leaders and decision-making ranks are still dominated by the senior staff in majority of companies. A disconnect between these generations would lead to disastrous results to any organization regardless of its size. Leaders must therefore keep in mind the differing interests of these changing trends to successfully manage these young workers. This book gives an insight into the behaviours of these millennial workers, highlighting their strengths and areas of improvement. Any one reading this book should be able to understand why its crucial to assimilate millennial life styles in the conventional organizations.
