Margot: stardust, dreams, and l̶o̶v̶e̶r̶s̶ ghosts (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798835674398)

"Sometimes I feel like my whole life is about getting back to how I feel when I'm in Paris"

This is a collection of poetry and prose, comprised of short poems about nature (particularly water and the moon as well as plants and soil), travel (paris, venice, nashville, and more), romance, self-respect/self-love, faith (keeping it and losing it), time, love, loss, growing up, breaking up, madness, betrayal, revenge, sadness, and, inexorably: hope.This book is dedicated to the survivors, the broken ones--and the people who love them.

"battle lines drawn around coffee shops, tennessee, npr, you and me."

"i guess i will love you glittering in that forgotten doorway in my own way forever."

"she didn't realize how strong she was until she realized how far she had come and how far she still intended to go."

"loving you will be the death of many things, and the birth of so many, many more"

* in other words... *
MARGOT compiles the work of an artist who has bitten deeply into the core of the human experience, champions the richness of a paradoxical existence, and relentlessly pursues a more complete way to express the weight of beauty. In this, her debut collection of poetry and prose, Isabella Margot takes truth in its teeth and doesn't let go. Time, mortality, and pain are themes viscerally explored alongside ideas as glittering as stardust, as ephemeral as dreams, and as long-lasting as l̶o̶v̶e̶r̶s̶ ghosts.
