About The Book

To date, the world has been devastated by one of the worst and deadliest viruses known to mankind, Health officials have recommended children two years of age or older should wear face covering in public to protect themselves and others from COVID-19. Recognizing wearing face covering may not be possible in every situation or for every individual. But could we agree wearing face mask in public settings is important for our children without extensive debate. No matter if adults cannot agree on best practices to ensure children remain healthy, the fact remains that children simply want to run, jump, and play. In the free spirit of play, any thoughts of adhering to social distancing rules as our children interact with their friends is almost unachievable during playtime. If we learned anything about Mari, in Mari And The Majestic Butterfly, we learned when she puts her mind to something, she's determined to see it through by any means necessary with or without her brothers and in this book, Mari Mask Or Not Off young readers will find her to be no different. Mari expresses her rebellion and her fears to wear her mask in spite of Mom's constant demands that she wear it. This book looks at wearing face covering from the eyes of a child. The story unfolds in the cutest way. It's hilariously funny, children everywhere will understand and ease their fears over wearing face covering while at play. This book will serve as a great lead in to parents' discussions as they prepare their children for a safe start to the new school year and or return from winter break while still under constant threats of a rise in positive cases of the virus and or Influenza while holding to safe precautions in the new COVID environment we now live in.

Though nation wide COVID measures have decreased, we as a nation should remain cautious and continue to teach our children the importance of face coverings should the need arise again. Families with children with immune system disorders must remain vigilant.
