Mark: The Servant Gospel (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9780981553016)

The Message of Mark is best summarized in chapter ten: "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (v. 45). This theme, that the Savior came to serve, serves as the focal point of Donald Barnhouse's expository study. With a Pastoral heart and biblical discernment, Dr. Barnhouse traces the servanthood of Jesus through Mark's gospel all the way to His ultimate act of service on the cross. And with every step, Dr. Barnhouse draws out powerful lessons and applications for us today.
