Affectionately known as the Self- Care Genie, Gladys Anderson holds a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and is a licensed marriage and family therapist and personal life coach. Since 1997, she has had the honor to counsel and coach hundreds of couples and individuals through their pain, joy, heartaches, and struggles. Gladys recognizes that a lot of women, despite years of formal education and professional status, still struggle to say YES to showing up in the world as their true selves. Soon Gladys realized a lot of women she coached still struggled to give herself permission to say "No" even when they felt over-committed, overwhelmed and overlooked. She then became fiercely committed to teaching busy, overwhelmed women to take time for self-care. Today, she teaches women how to recognize and access their personal genie within, while making affirming choices about what they are willing to do, be, and give. Besides being the author of Master the Genie Within, Gladys has written an e-book, Just Say No! and numerous self-help articles. She is available for workshops on the subjects of boundary setting, empowerment, confidence-building, relationships, self-control, stress-management, gratitude, life balance, communications, and other topics that help women slow down, jump off the hamster wheel, and call upon their genie within to take charge of their lives. In her spare time, Gladys loves to travel and have new experiences. She is an amateur genealogist, avid reader, loves "techy" stuff, jazz, and especially enjoys mystery novels.
