Mathematical and Statistical Methods and Their Applications, 2nd Edition (Hardcover) (ISBN-13: 9783725868889)

This Reprint contains eight articles that have been accepted and published in the Special Issue "Mathematical and Statistical Methods and Their Applications, 2nd Edition". The collected papers cover a wide range of topics concerning the development, analysis, and application of modern mathematical and statistical methodologies. The key topics addressed in this volume include queueing theory and load balancing models, stochastic and reliability modeling, hybrid probability distributions, stress-strength analysis, change-point estimation in mixture regression models, statistical process monitoring schemes (such as EWMA, Shiryaev-Roberts, and CUSUM procedures) under censoring, kinetic equations and optimal transport, fuzzy competence space-based learning path recommendation, and trust-enhancing randomized response techniques, among others.

We hope that this Reprint will be interesting and useful for researchers and practitioners working in the areas of applied mathematics, statistics, quality control, reliability engineering, and intelligent systems, as well as for readers with a solid mathematical background who wish to familiarize themselves with recent advances and practical applications of mathematical and statistical methodologies.
