He was an impressive man in size with a pug nose highlighting a fearsome face. When he approached, the Colonel called out, "Riley, this man here is complaining about your food."Riley sneered, "Eh-h? What is wrong with it?"Max shrugged and said, "It would take too long to list them. Maybe you should ask what is right about your cooking.""You know that the last man that complained about my cooking is walking with a limp. That is when he gets strong enough to walk," Riley informed Max.Max nodded, "Jah, probably so. He must have gotten food poisoning from your bad cooking."Most of the bystanders groaned and gasped.Riley breathed in and then sprung. He charged Max. Max stood in place with a smile on his face. Riley's initial swing missed as Max just stood forward a little. He grabbed Riley's shoulders and fell back, taking Riley with him. Once his back was on the ground, he used Riley's inertia to flip him. There was a crashing of tables and chairs and some cussing.Max calmly took off his uniform jacket and handed it to Hans as Riley unsteadily rose to his feet. "You're gonna pay for that, you little squirt!" Riley called out as he charged again.Max allowed for him to get close and ducked under his arm, tripping Riley as he went by. Riley fell flat on his face. He roared when he started to stand back up. When he was half way up, Max put a bone crushing knee in his face. Riley almost fell backward, then fell forward and laid still.There was a stunned silence and a new cook!
