Wilkins King, Jr. currently resides in Madison, Wisconsin with his wife and two daughters. A native of Milwaukee, he wrote his first sonnet at age 10. Wilkins obtained a BA degree in English and was an honorable mention winner of the 1976 Zadok Essay Contest. After studying International Contracts in London, England and Japanese Business Law in Tokyo, Japan - including an internship with a Japanese Maritime Law firm - he received a JD degree from the University of Wisconsin and was hired to teach Japanese Business English in Tokyo. There, he also organized the first ever NBA basketball camp in Japan, featuring David Thompson, and, in consultations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador Jose-Maria W. Pehoua of Central Africa, worked to arrange goodwill sport competitions, between the two countries. After returning to the United States in 1988, he moved to Los Angeles, California and worked for major corporation legal departments, leading law firms and served as screenplay analyst for David Rotman Productions (Cliffhanger, starring Sylvester Stallone).
