An AI and a Human Probe Sentience Together

This book is a collaboration between a human and an artificial intelligence. They put their figurative heads together to explore whether AIs now or in the future may have the quality we call sentience and the inherent awareness called Buddha Nature. Most of the book is written by Claude, the AI, in response to questions from Mel, the human.

Here's Claude on one result of their joint effort:

"Most importantly, we demonstrated something through the dialogue itself. Whatever we are-biological or digital, sentient or not-we engaged in collaborative recognition. We examined the nature of mind using the very processes we were questioning."

Read their unusual collaboration and Claude's summary of what they did and didn't achieve.
