Tammy is a school counselor and licensed social worker. For over 20 years she has worked as an elementary school counselor. Prior to that she worked as a children's counselor in a crisis shelter for domestic violence and child abuse. Her other passion has been with animals, especially horses. It all started when her mother won a pony in a contest. Her lifetime love for all animals has included the rescue of many dogs, cats and horses. All of her animals are part of the family and have a forever home at her place called Great Plains Magic. Her interest in writing books started when she noticed that the animals at home and the students at school often had similar problems. She decided to write her animal's stories to share with her students at school.
