Memoir of a Burdened Child (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798218877705)

Sometimes the hardest stories to tell are the ones that set us free, because what once buried us was only planting the seeds for who we'd become.

In Memoir of a Burdened Child, Shana Cummins opens the door to a life shaped by generational pain, quiet survival, and the unyielding hope that healing is possible. With unflinching honesty, she invites readers into a journey told in two parts-"The Mess I Was Born Into" and "The Mess I Created."

From the instability, trauma, and emotional weight of her childhood to the choices she later made while trying to outrun the echoes of her past, Shana reveals what it means to grow up without a blueprint and still find the strength to build oneself from the inside out. As she confronts old wounds, patterns, and truths she once avoided, her story becomes not just one of endurance, but of transformation.

Through faith, therapy, motherhood, loss, and deep self-reflection, she begins to reclaim her voice and redefine her future-showing how healing is not a straight line, but a return to the self we were always meant to be.

Raw, honest, and redemptive, Memoir of a Burdened Child is a powerful reminder that breaking cycles requires both courage and accountability. Shana's story offers hope to anyone determined to rise from the weight of their past and step boldly into freedom.
