About the Author William Kenneth Galloway was born to Aquila and Isabella Hairston Galloway February 23, 1955 in Reidsville, NC. William graduated from Reidsville Senior High School in 1973. He received an Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Administration from Rockingham Community College in August 1978. William obtained a certificate from the North Carolina Justice Academy in 1983. His employment began with Rockingham County Fund, Inc. in 1978. In January 1981, the Rockingham County Department of Social Services hired William where he became the first black Child Support Agent. William married Linda Hayes Graves who is now deceased in June 1981. One child Gwanysla Galloway was born of this union. His wife Linda was the first black female police officer in Reidsville, NC. She opened the door for other black female officers in Reidsville. William relocated to Kansas City, MO in 1996 where he became a licensed minister at Greater Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Albert Colbert. In 2001, William left Kansas City, MO and returned to Greensboro, NC where he continued his ministry under Dr. Helen McLaughlin of Faith Steppers Church. In 2003, William served as associate minister at Christian Tabernacle Church in Fayetteville, NC under Bishop E. Nathaniel Challenger, Sr. A year later, William became a resident of Durham, NC. In conjunction with Pastor Barry and Jo Ann Holmes, he ministered to the homeless and addicts. While residing in Durham, William attended Mt. Level Missionary Baptist Church under Dr. William C. Turner Jr. Throughout his ministry William continued to struggle with his own demons. On August 2, 2008 William married Susan Scales and relocated to Eden, NC. He served as an associate minister at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Pelham, North Carolina under Pastor Roderick Fitz until January 2010. William and Susan currently reside in Eden with their two dogs Spike and Baby Girl. He is presently an associate minister at the Temple of Faith Church 245 Hamlin Street, in Eden, North Carolina 27288 under Bishop Ronald Pettie Sr. William was ordained Elder on April 8th 2012 at Gospel Prayer Mission, 2292 North Main Street in Danville, Virginia 24541.The officiating officer was Bishop John Burton Sr. He is the Pastor of this church.
