There are 35 of us poets and authors in this anthology. We are all participants in Merrimac Mic, an open mic for the spoken word - sometimes the sung word. Isabell VanMerlin started Merrimac Mic basing it on Speak Up! in Lynn, MA. The idea is provide a venue for people to express themselves, their thoughts, their written words and listen to others. The bottom line is to have fun and feel good about it. Our biographies are unique to each of us, of course. Better to read our words and make up a biography.
