Mighty in the Land: Our Adoption Story (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798274436861)

"His children will be mighty in the land." Psalm 112:2.

"I think we should adopt...from Ukraine."

Married fifteen years without kids begets doubts - and questions. Is there something wrong with me? The answer to prayer finally arrives. Mama Bear receives the nudge to adopt.

After a twelve-month paperwork pregnancy, the Bushes travel to the wintry wiles of Ukraine to find their little Shrubs.
There, they discover a staggering number of beautiful children longing for family - and hope. A gung-ho Papa Bear wants to bring them all home; Mama, wise and steady, grounds his zeal to focus on their part.

Obstacles pile up deeper than the relentless snow during their six-week stay in country. Hunger, language barriers, small-town politics, and uncertainty drag them to the unthinkable. Did God bring us this far to go home empty-handed?

Heartwarming and humorous, this wild adventure of faith portrays the raw, the real, and the wonder of international adoption - more than a rescue - a magnificent method to build a forever family.

Can we make a difference in this world? Will our children be mighty in the land?

Follow the true story of an ordinary couple who dared to believe.
