Missing the Boat: PJ Enterprises/Hopper Sisters Book 2 (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781545103234)

Sophie has a new boyfriend and an exciting career in New York City. She and her sister Chloe are self-proclaimed masters of deception. Sophie's current project is the most thrilling to date until Chloe demands to take it over. Sophie's living situation is about to get comfortable when Chloe changes everything. Sophie reminds herself that devising schemes for unsuspecting clients is her passion and she reluctantly moves ahead on a mundane project. But what happens when clients decide to to things their way? Have the sisters overestimated their abilities to pull off these projects? They are about to find out what can go very wrong. They might be missing the boat in more ways than one. The first book in my "PJ Enterprises/Hopper Sisters" series "The Art of Surprise" was fun to write and this second book "Missing the Boat" was even more fun. I was once told that the most important thing about a fiction novel is the story; second is character development and third is everything else, but my favorite part is writing characters. I think i know how the story will get to its destination. Then one conversation between characters takes it somewhere else. Will the character we just met drive the story in a new direction? Sophie is often discovering characters as exactly the same time I am, when the words hit the page. A character that was originally intended to be in the background suddenly has a personality and a role that deserves to be in the forefront. She might fall in love with one of them, but I fall in love with all of them...even the villains.
