Mister Mottley Gets His Man, 2nd Edition: Mottley & Baker Mysteries Book 1 (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781974005574)

Fast cars, hot jazz, and the dreadful misuse of truth serum. Aristocratic sleuth Edmund Mottley is a lovable eccentric with a nose for murder. He works alone and likes it that way. Disgraced valet Aloysius Baker is desperate for a job, and Mottley is his only option whether he likes it or not. When a terrified client begs for protection, his knotty problem spins into a laugh-out-loud adventure that forces Mottley & Baker into an unlikely detective duo. Mister Mottley Gets His Man is a classic English whodunnit with droll humour and unforgettable characters. If you enjoy Agatha Christie's puzzling plots or P.G. Wodehouse's refined silliness, you will love this debut in the Mottley & Baker Mysteries. Are you ready for an adventure with the incorrigible Mister Mottley?Praise for Ellen Seltz: "Mr. Mottley had me from the first word. So much fabulous language, fun characters, a missing diamond, and murder most foul. Hurray for intelligence and the written word!" - Christy English, author of How to Train Your Highlander "...A lot of fun. It reads like a cross between a Jeeves and Wooster story and a Sherlock Holmes story, and somehow this really works." - M.R. Nelson, TungstenHippo.com Reviews "Ellen Seltz is a master craftsman in this genre." L.M. Bryski, author of Book of Birds
