Model: Poetry for Regular People (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798177833002)

Model: Poetry for Regular People is a collection of poetry about love, loss, memory, spirituality, relationships, nature, and the many questions that quietly shape a life.

These poems move between the deeply personal and the wonderfully ordinary. Some explore the mysteries of love and the soul. Others look at family, friendship, childhood memories, heroes, beauty, loneliness, aging, and the strange moments that make us stop and think. There are poems about cats, rats, flowers, mirrors, winter, bridges, photographs, pop culture, and even dried flowers that have somehow become wicked.

Throughout the collection, love appears in many forms-romantic, familial, spiritual, remembered, complicated, and sometimes impossible to explain. The Spirituality of Love, A Soul with a View, To Give, The Singular Flower, and You Are More explore the deeper places where love and human connection meet. Other poems, such as Sometimes I Reminisce (The Road to My Grandmom's Country House) and Your Picture Is Forever There, turn toward memory and the enduring traces people leave behind.

There is also room for humor, curiosity, and the unexpected. What Is a Hero, Anyway? What Am I To Make Of? Repeat, After Me, The Cat, and Pop Culture approach life from different angles, reminding us that poetry does not always have to whisper. Sometimes it can question, smile, wonder, or simply look at something familiar in a new way.

Some of the poetry even suggests that some thoughts, emotions, and stories cannot be contained in a single poem. They continue, just as our lives do.

From love is... to You're the Golden Eagle, these poems invite readers to pause, remember, question, feel, and perhaps discover something within themselves.

Model: Poetry for Regular People is ultimately about the places where memory, love, spirituality, imagination, and everyday life intersect-and what happens when we allow ourselves to truly look.
