Monaco's The Diner That Eats Time (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798235581944)

Grandma Margaret has spent years mourning the daughter and granddaughter who vanished at South of the Border. When a postcard arrives in familiar handwriting - "Don't worry. We're fine. Pedro takes care of us." - she packs her car and drives straight into the past.

The postcard leads her to Monaco's, a forgotten diner on a dark stretch of highway. Neon flickers. Red vinyl booths line the walls. Behind the counter stands Al Monaco, a tall, careful man in a paper hat who claims he's never heard of the Mills family. But his hands tremble when he pours her coffee, and his eyes hold the weight of old secrets.

A washed-up comedian named Benny the Bone is coming to town. The waitress Doris whispers warnings in the shadows. Old commercials loop on the television like they've been playing for decades. And somewhere in the back rooms, something is waiting for fresh supply.

Margaret came looking for answers. What she found is a place that doesn't give them up easily.

Some diners serve more than burgers and shakes. Some places rewrite time. And some guests are never meant to leave.

From the world of South of the Border: The Motel That Eats Time comes a chilling new Southern Gothic horror novel about the traps we walk into willingly - and the ones that have been waiting for us all along.
