Monadelphia or the Formation of a New System of Society: Without the Intervention of a Circulating Medium (1832) (Hardcover) (ISBN-13: 9781161924985)

Monadelphia Or The Formation Of A New System Of Society: Without The Intervention Of A Circulating Medium is a book written by John Thimbleby in 1832. The book proposes a new system of society that does not rely on the use of money as a medium of exchange. Thimbleby argues that the use of money creates inequality and that a society without it would be more just and equitable. He proposes a system of exchange based on labor and goods, where individuals would exchange their skills and products directly with each other. Thimbleby believes that this system would promote cooperation and community, and eliminate the need for competition and greed. The book also includes a detailed plan for implementing this new system, as well as a critique of the existing economic and social systems of the time. Overall, Monadelphia Or The Formation Of A New System Of Society is a thought-provoking and visionary work that challenges conventional economic and social thinking. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
