Money Talks: A musical that follows the adventures, wisdom and harangues of a hundred dollar bill (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798670248549)

He's kept his mouth shut long enough! Find out what happens to Ben Franklin - the man on the hundred dollar bill - as he's passed from person to person across America. Ben is none too pleased by what he sees in our country today. He thinks we've lost our way, and he's bound and determined to call out our mistakes.. Fortunately, he has a slew of famous maxims to help him. Follow Ben as he hooks up with a stripper, takes part in the World Series of Poker, jams on the guitar, plays matchmaker and snorts cocaine for the first time. Money Talks is a 4-person musical comedy with one person playing Ben Franklin and three others playing everyone else. Requires no set. Just a few props and items of clothing to suggest different characters. Can also be done with a large cast in schools and amateur productions. Money Talks is by David Friedman and Peter Kellogg, winners of The Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical and Drama Desk Awards for Best Music and Lyrics, both for Desperate Measures, a 6-person Western loosely based on Measure for Measure. Money Talks features humorous cartoons of Ben's trials and tribulations by multi-talented artist, Michael X. Martin. Half of the profits go to Feeding America. (Ben would approve.)
