Mordecai (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798177939926)

In an ancient city with no name, beneath the red-eyed gaze of Gargoyle Abbey, lives Doctor Grim: a veterinarian by day and a medicine man by night, who walks the streets of hell with a staff of blackthorn. He knows one rule. Nothing can come in unless you open the door, and no one can be saved unless they choose it.

When his estranged wife April falls to demonic possession, Grimthorn is drawn into a war that began in ancient Rome. Mordecai, a beautiful, shapeshifting demon and the secret master of the city's wealth, has loved April's sister Misty through lifetime after lifetime. For two thousand years he has waited for her to say one word: yes.

From burning mansions to a gala in hell, from a castle on a forgotten bog to a cathedral split open, Grimthorn fights to hold the door. But the choice was never his.

And Misty has never known what she wants.
