The order between questions and answers is at issue. Is an answer truly produced by a question or is the question motivated by the answer? And is there a pairing between questions and answers? Over time the author has come to suspect that there may indeed be a great imbalance between the number of questions and the number of answers but that the imbalance lies in a greater ponderance of answers. But the book is not for everyone. Some of the topics raised may offend some, though they are not meant to. It is tendered as useful for a bible study, departing from the usual catechetical approach of setting the questions and then developing the answers to comport with particular beliefs. The material is leavened with personal reminiscences that are intended to entertain, comfort, and soften any academic flavor that may be present.
