Oscar Benson Oz is my pen name and has been since I was 15. My grandmother didn't like Oscar so she named me Ozzie and my Grandfather called me Oz. I was born in Oklahoma and was the oldest son of a re-tired Army sergeant. I started writing poetry and later after many years of biblical study began to write essays. I have always been a passionate person. I too have always desired to see a better life on our lovely orb not only for myself but for all the people of the world. I served two enlistments in the military. One was in the Navy during the last of the Vietnam War and the other in the National Guard prior to the 1st invasion of Iraq. I believe that there are two schools of wisdom. One is of course the school of hard knocks. The second is by being still and listening to your creator. When you give him your undivided attention he will speak to you and help you to see truths and ways that you never knew existed. I have traveled extensively throughout the United States (lower 48) of America and Mexico. I also have been to other countries of South America and the Middle East and the Orient. I have lived in the Philippines, Mexico, and China for several years each. I was living in the Philip-pines under Martial Law during the Marcos regime. I heard the people dying in the streets from midnight to six a.m. I have seen poverty first hand. I have seen wealth first hand. There is a huge difference between the two that shouldn't be there. Our present system in the world is extremely flawed. I hope that this book and others like it will be read by many young people who will change the world and that tomorrow's world will be one of peace and love and life! I have seen and walked the Amazon and the mountains of China and America. I have seen the wildernesses, deserts and rainforests of the world. I know that there are many many lands that are habitable and yet lay untouched. I have seen the largest cities and watched the squirming masses. I know that there is without a doubt more than enough.
