Morgan's Revenge: The sequel to The Daisy Chain Murders (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798670655378)

Morgan's Revenge is the sequel to its predecessor, 'The Daisy Chain Murders' in the same Victorian Detective's series. Chief Superintendent Frederick Morgan is left for dead having been brutally beaten outside the back gates of Scotland Yard. Irish dissidents are believed to have been responsible, but Richard Rayner suspects otherwise.Following the murder of a local councillor, the Investigation into the attack on Morgan is thrown into a different light and the famous detective and his trusted friend, Henry Bustle, quickly find themselves faced with a number of mysterious incidents that invite them to enter a world of danger and frustration. There are many twists and turns in the story ranging from child slave labour to criminal involvement of highly reputable politicians, which is both gripping and exciting. An atmosphere of riotous confrontations between the police and Irish migrants adds to the notoriety of the events that take place. A truly gripping story in the true sense of the word.
