Dam (born Damon) Chewy was a pioneer in alternative history, starting in 1960 when he helped to found an early Boston newspaper/magazine of alternative arts study. His vituperative-oriented Bandied About Boys ran irregularly over the next decade with gossip about Broadway, Hollywood, and European film and stage world. Long Time Ago Books is now presenting his alternative history to a 21st century audience. Chewy died at age 86 at San Cristobal de Las Casas in Chiapas, Mexico, on holiday in 2013.
