Following his Vietnam era military service aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Icebreaker 'Glacier' in Antarctica, our author earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Television and Film Production from Cal State Long Beach, Ca. (Film student by day, Golden Bear Nightclub Bouncer by night.) During this time Gig worked on several independent film and television productions and was awarded an internship by The Television Academy of Arts and Sciences, on the CBS sitcom 'Alice' at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, Ca. Gig also produced numerous concert videos including "An Evening with Jazz guitarist George Benson, Latin pop star Jose' Feliciano, Country music's Elvin Bishop, Randy Hansen's Jimi Hendrix Experience, and Western Film, Television and recording stars Roy Rodgers and Dale Evans with the Sons of the Pioneers;" many recorded at The Golden Bear Nightclub in Huntington Beach and Orange County's Pacific Amphitheater. In the early '80's Gig and his wife Annette moved from Huntington Beach to Lake Nacimiento on California's Central Coast 'wine country' where they raised two sons and built a family-owned Manufactured Housing dealership into a Major Land Development and Residential Housing Construction business transforming large, un-improved tracts, acreage and parcels of land into Vineyards, Ranches and Lakeside Resort properties. During this adventure 'Notorious G.I.G.' enjoyed fifteen seasons as his son's Jet Ski Racing Team 'starting-line holder, ' and logistics and sponsorship manager winning the Region 1 California Slalom and Closed-course Championship, ranked number one on the APBA National Tour round 1 and 2 at Parker, Arizona, and finishing ninth in the world at the IJSBA World Finals at Lake Havasu City Arizona.
