Muscipula: Or, The Mouse-trap: A Poem In Latin And English (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781174964176)

Muscipula: Or, The Mouse-trap is a delightful poem by Edward Holdsworth, presented in both the original Latin and its English translation. This charming work offers readers a glimpse into the literary tastes and humor of the 18th century. Holdsworth's poem, with its playful subject matter, provides an accessible entry point for students of Latin and a nostalgic read for those familiar with the classics.

This edition makes Holdsworth's poem available to a new generation of readers, preserving the wit and elegance of the original while offering the convenience of a facing-page translation. "Muscipula" is not only a testament to Holdsworth's skill but also a reflection of the era's fascination with classical forms and themes adapted to contemporary life.
