My Mountaintop Battle with Doubt (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798385060269)

Despite being a lifelong Christian, the author admits he did not understand what faith in Jesus truly meant until later in life, and therefore, failed to convey to his young sons what is so attractive about pursuing a relationship with Him. Under the backdrop of the family cabin in the mountains, the author shares an intimate conversation between father and son that delves into the loving nature of God; our choice to accept Him; and the extraordinary life available through a life based on faith in Him. While revealing his spiritual journey, the father explains how a person can fall in love with God and challenges his skeptical son to examine his doubts to determine how they stand up to the Word of God. While emphasizing humanity's common inclination toward sin and God's amazing grace, the father dispels the notion that a full embrace of Jesus requires perfection and emphasizes that it is not our performance, but instead, our acceptance of Jesus into our hearts and minds that is most important. My Mountaintop Battle with Doubt shares an intimate conversation between father and son which explores how a skeptic can overcome his doubts and fall in love with an all-knowing, all-loving God.
