Among the many places he has lived and/or visited are Germany, Portugal, Ecuador, Spain, Iraq, Kuwait, France, Amsterdam, Brazil, Canada, Texas, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and North Dakota; although he eventually moved back to his southern roots in Alabama.

He is inspired by the different styles of spoken word, poems, and songs created by known and unknown poets and artists. His work is a blend of his own life experiences, as well as the experiences of those who looked to him for advice or to just listen. Everything he writes is personal; revealing feelings he's never told. When reading this man's work, the reader is looking into his soul.
