Description
xThis book was created for SUPER GIRLS EVERYWHERE! So, give the gift that will last a lifetime. Give her the gift of READING! And a love for every day of the week.
Multi-award winning author Sandra Brown Lindstedt has wowed young readers with her last book Life of a Firefly, and hopes to top it with this latest book in her Emmie True series, My Super Sweet Week for little dreamers 3-7 years old. What did Emmie True do in her Super Sweet Week? Well, if you wanna know, then you better take a peek!
This unique rhyming book will inspire curiosity, a sense of wonder. and a love for learning. But most of all your child will find fun and exciting things to do every day of the week. Even on rainy days she turns the ordinary into an extraordinary adventure!
Emmie Emerson True Mae Shoemaker III is very curious and loves adventure, baking with Mom and having dress-up with friends. This book will keep children amused long after the Holidays. So come away and let's play! What readers are saying about the book: I'm in love with the rhymes and story flow through the days of the week, the adventures of Emmie and every excitement that follows every page. Really an awesome book and a must read for kids!
--Benn I liked this book because it was talking about the week. The drawings were great. I liked the beach day the best. That's so fun. The cat was fun too.: ) thank you for such a good book.
--Lilly LeGros on Goodreads This story is bound to bring joy to little girls. Emmie True uses her imagination and has fun every day of the week. The bright colorful illustrations sure to keep children engaged. Whimsical!
--Kathe Hudson on Goodreads You can almost feel Emmie True's boundless energy as she takes you through her wonderful week of adventures! Baking with mama, time at the beach, laughs and giggles with special friends. There are many things to love about this book, but I especially like that it talks about each day of the week and would be a great book if your classroom is learning them. I also really, really like that Emmie True has a very special friend, who might possibly have down syndrome or a delay but it's not clear in the story. Regardless of kids laughing and her neighbor saying he's not smart, Emmi supports him and they have a great time! Every week. This book teaches about friendship, I love that it has fun words and phrases that are clearly not in America (likely Sweden, where the author lives). "Sipping cold banana milk under the Ping Ling tree," for instance. Thank you, Sandra, for helping build Parenting Across Color Line's "Little Diverse Library"! As a parent and teacher of multicultural students, it's SO great to see a book featuring and written by a BIPOC author.
