Bruno Stefan, Ph.D. (born 1969), is a sociologist and Associate Professor at Bucharest Polytechnic University. His book is the product of hundreds of interviews with inmates, staff members, political leaders, non profit organization activists and the general public. He is also known for his work on inter-ethnic relations and trade union cultural values. He is the founder and director of The Social Research Bureau (BCS), one of the most respect Romanian polling organizations.
