New Fragments (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781162573168)

New Fragments by John Tyndall is a collection of essays and lectures that were originally published in the 19th century. Tyndall was a prominent physicist and scientific writer who made significant contributions to the fields of thermodynamics, atmospheric physics, and glaciology. The essays in this book cover a wide range of topics, including the nature of light, the properties of gases, the structure of the atmosphere, and the formation of glaciers. Tyndall also explores the relationship between science and religion, arguing that scientific inquiry can deepen our understanding of the natural world without necessarily contradicting religious beliefs. The essays are written in a clear and accessible style, making them suitable for both scientific and general readers. Overall, New Fragments offers a fascinating glimpse into the mind of one of the most influential scientists of the 19th century.1897.
