Thea Hartley has been a Psychology Lecturer for over thirty years. She has several stories and academic papers published. She has been a member of British Women's Aid for many years and worked as a counsellor with women suffering from Domestic Abuse. She has a masters degree in Women's Studies, in addition to Psychology and a published dissertation on "the role of women in soap opera".
