Not a Half Messiah: Jesus Finished What He Came to Do (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798176427066)

Most of American Christianity worships a Half Messiah.

We celebrate His cross and resurrection, yet keep postponing His Kingdom and the judgment He promised within "this generation." We proclaim Him Savior while speaking as though His reign has yet to begin.

In Not a Half Messiah, pastor Daniel Anthony follows the twofold mission Isaiah announced: redemption and vengeance. Through Scripture and the first-century setting of Jesus' promises, he connects Calvary, resurrection, and Pentecost with the judgment of the Old Covenant world in AD 70.

Jesus didn't abandon half His assignment. The same Messiah who proclaimed the acceptable year of the Lord also announced the days of vengeance. He told His disciples what would happen, where it would happen, and when. His words came to pass.

But fulfilled prophecy reaches beyond our understanding of the past. It changes how we live today. If Christ reigns, His people have a Kingdom to express in the world around them.

Jesus finished what He came to do. It's time we lived like He did.
