xWriter and visual artist JONATHAN PETER JACKSON, JR. wrote the foreword to the current edition of Soledad Brother: The Prison Letters of George Jackson, which was released in 1994. After the death of his father shortly before his birth, Jackson spent his early years on the move, living with his mother in Kansas City, Kansas, Morocco, and other places. An accomplished and innovative painter, he has shown his work in self-produced solo exhibits, and runs a Substack, where he publishes criticism of arts and culture and essays on politics. Jackson lives in Washington with his wife, mother, and two daughters, and travels widely. Notes of a Radical Son is his first book.
