Now I Know Why: Adulting with ADHD through poetry (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798275511536)

Do you feel like your brain never switches off-no matter how hard you try?

Like you're constantly overwhelmed, overthinking everything, and still somehow falling behind?

If you're an adult with ADHD, you've probably asked yourself:
"Why am I like this?"

Now I Know Why: Adulting with ADHD Through Poetry is a raw, deeply relatable collection that finally puts those feelings into words.

Through powerful, accessible poetry, this book captures what living with ADHD actually feels like-not the clinical definition, but the real, everyday experience:

The mental chaos that won't quiet down
The weight of self-doubt and feeling "not enough"
The frustration of unfinished tasks and lost focus
The intensity of emotions that hit all at once
And the quiet strength it takes just to keep going

But this isn't just about struggle.
It's about recognition.
It's about understanding yourself in a way you never have before.
It's about finally feeling seen.
Alongside the poetry, you'll also find:

Thoughtful journal prompts to help you reflect and process
Creative colouring pages to calm your mind and reconnect
Moments of humour, honesty, and hope throughout

Whether you've just been diagnosed, have lived with ADHD for years, or want to better understand someone you love, this book offers something rare:
A sense of "this is me."

Because ADHD isn't just chaos-
it's creativity, resilience, and a different kind of brilliance.

If you've ever felt overwhelmed, misunderstood, or "too much"...
this book will remind you that you're not alone-and you were never meant to fit into a world that wasn't built for your mind.
