She has experience in tutoring childcare practitioners in Further Education and in internally/externally verifying acknowledged Early Years courses and qualifications.

She was a trained Nursery/Infant teacher. Later she taught in Further Education. She worked as an internal/external verifier for awarding bodies in childcare. She was an Ofsted Nursery Inspector and an Early years Inspector for the Adult Learning Inspectorate.
