Of Times There Were Before (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781511675413)

What would possess a highly successful judge to walk away from her career, abandon her home, flee from her ex-fiancé, and travel to another country to seek a portal into the distant past, thinking she could reconnect with a man who lived two millennia in the past?Kat had to know if his love, and her feelings for him were true. She had to hear him say the words that might only have echoed through her mind. "Yours is the name I call in the night and your face, the one I look for in the morn."Who was this man, a warrior with the words of a poet? He had captured her heart, and thoughts, her past and future. So, she decided to return to a time and a place far removed from her 21st-century life as a judge in Cleveland, Ohio. Then, how did she, three months pregnant, end up hiking across a ninth-century meadow with a nun, a monk and a shepherd boy on a mission to rescue her sister from Viking kidnappers? Unbeknownst to Kat, Connor, her warrior husband, has followed her across time to undertake his own search. One of them will succeed in the rescue; one of them will suffer unimaginable loss. In the end, Kat learns that the decisions she must make are life-altering, affecting her past, present and future.
