Ollie the Otterhound: One in Three Hundred (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781919473611)

Deciding we wanted a dog was just the first part of it.

The search itself was interesting, but none of us expected the change that the big hound would bring to daily routines, nor the genuine affection and new friendships that he would generate, despite his outstanding ability for projectile slobber and primary focus on his own olfactory genius.

This is the true story of life with Ollie, one of only around three hundred Otterhounds in Britain, and of the chaos, companionship and community that followed him through the door.

A hound is a different sort of dog, and learning this first-hand was a real delight - mostly.
