Chap Harper is a master scuba diver and for over thirty years he has found the Caribbean to be his favorite place to get wet. Having owned ocean front property in the Dominican Republic, he enjoys a comfort lelvel with the country and her people. Chap also has a small Placer gold claim in the Sierras of Northern California so mining techniques have always beena favorite subject for him. The novel was his first and was written in 2007. It laid on the shelf until he decided to pull it out and get it ready for publication. Chap lives on a lake in Hot Springs, Arkansas with his wife Susan and a large collection of palms trees which he says remind him of the Caribbean.
