Åsa Gilland is a Swedish illustrator who studied interior design at Accademia Italiana Moda in Florence and spent many years as a graphic designer. She has lived in Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Spain and the UK before moving to Indonesia, and has worked on textiles, home décor, stationery and more, before deciding to follow her passion for illustrating children's books. Åsa lives in a tiny house under an overgrown bougainvillea tree in Jakarta with husband, two sons and cats.
